Luzern, Švýcarsko - Lucerne, Switzerland

Švýcarsko je nesporně turistickým rájem. Zásluha za to jde na konto úžasných horských scenérií, štítů, jezer, potoků, vodopádů a červených vlaků obratně se mezi nimi sunoucích.

Pokud jde o města a místa, je Švýcarsko zemí velmi drahou a - pokud nesouhlasíte, zkuste chvilku nekřičet - trochu nudnou. Luteránsky strohá země, kde vše je perfektně srovnané, zastřižené, naleštěné, tak říkajíc "optimalizované", nesvádí k výjezdům do předražených  měst. A tak zůstanou Curych a Ženeva pro dnešek stranou mého zájmu.

Jsou výjimky. Města v italském kantonu Ticino, hlavní město Bern, a z mého pohledu zejména hlavní město švýcarského katolicismu Lucern. Má vše, co má město ve Švýcarsku mít - jezero a horské štíty nad ním, čistočistou řeku, katedrály, kasino, promenádu, obchody a - uvolněnou atmosféru, kterou v nedalekém Curychu nenajdete.

Koupili jsme zde nedávno firmu. Její kancelář je 50 metrů od břehu Lucernského jezera (tak se mu říká, ale jeho správné jméno je Vierwaldstaettersee, přeloženo Jezero čtyř lesních měst, není to krásné jméno?). Mimochodem podívejte se na mapu a diskutujte, jaký má tohle jezero tvar - znáte ty nafukovací reklamní hubené panáky, kteří se bortí a zase narovnávají podle toho, jak spolu bojují vítr a jejich ventilátor? Tak já tam vidím tohle.

A hlavně už přijeďte.......

Nobody doubts that Switzerland is a touristic paradise. The merit for it goes to awesome mountain sceneries, lakes, brooks, waterfalls, and red trains swiftly moving between them.

Swiss cities are extremely expensive and - don't shout immediately - a bit boring. Sober lutheranian history combined with an absolute order where all is perfectly clean, cut, polished, 'optimized' so to say does not invite to visits to overrpriced towns. Therefore, let us leave Zurich or Geneva aside for today.



Kapellenbruecke - Luzern

There are exceptions. Italian canton Ticino, capital Bern, and - my opinion - capital of Swiss catolicism Lucerne. Lucerne has all it shall have - lake with mountains above it, superclean river, cathedrals, casino, lake promenade, shops and - relaxed atmosphere you don't find in nearby Zurich.

We've recently bought a business here, and have an office just 50 meters from the shore of Lucerne Lake. Locals call it this way but its correct name is 'Vierwaldstattersee', or Lake of four forest towns. Beautiful name isn't it? By the way - take a map and watch this lake on it. Do you know those inflattable thin dummies which collapse and re-erect following the fight of their fans and outside wind? This is what I see.
